"Huan yin " to A.W.E.D Event with theme - Chinese

"歡迎您到中國的美食-美好的和好吃的數組食品, 隨心所欲不只是味蕾的中國, 而是世界各國人民。"

Ok if that dint make any sense to you - even if you are from China believe me - It dint for me too :) But I can totally relate to what I actually meant to say which would be

"Welcome to the cuisine of China - a wonderful and delicious array of food which pleases not only the taste buds of china but of people all over the world." :)

Chinese Cuisine ( Traditional Chinese: 中國菜, Simplified Chinese:中国菜) has been adopted by so many countries as their own - so much so that you find chinese everywhere customized to region's tastes and preferences. ( yes am talking of 'American Chinese' and 'Indo-Chinese' to quote a few ) And yes - I dont think Chinese should really complain if these customization sometimes dont bear any resemblance to the original!!!!!! and they know why!!!!



But their unique blend of spices, sauces and style of cooking is the most saught after by food lovers. They steam, they saute , they stir fry and cook many healthy varieties which are not only soothing to the palate, to the eyes, smell but also for the overall physical being.

So here it is - This Month's AWED theme is going to be Chinese Cuisine ( which includes - Sichuanese and Indo Chinese/ American Chinese version. Mention that in your post )

Rules are same as last time.

1) Make any dish – be it Appetizer, Main Course , Snack or Dessert ( do mention that in your blog) - Vegetarian/Vegan and post the same in your blog /site and link it back to the announcement. Feel free to use the logo.

2) Multiple entries are more welcome than ever, since more the recipes, more the choices available to all of us.

3) Take a snap showcasing your creation and send it across with a size of 300 X 300 pixels.

4) Send me your “Name”, “Recipe”, “Recipe URL” and “Photo” to : i.am.awed@gmail.com ( thats i(dot)am(dot)awed(at)gmail(dot)com )

5) Last date for the entries are July 15th 2008.

5) Not having a blog is no excuse to let you get away with your tasty creations. So Non-Bloggers pls do send me the same details as above to the mail given.

My heartfelt thanks for all your mails and comments - the past 10 days. I was out on a business + pleasure trip ,hence was on vacation and came back only last night. Will reply your mails and comments in the coming days. Hope to see the blog-o-sphere brimming with your 'Chinese' touch :)

as i was telling you, this is going to be difficult for me... never made anything chinese or indo-chinese or american chinese - :( never seem to be able to get that flavor!

When i saw the theme chinese i was like ohhhhhhhh I am in as i cook a lot of chinese, but then i saw it is Veg/Vegan.
Mostly it is Non veg chinese dish i make, but if i make a vegetarian i will send you

oh ya, indian chinese is delicious. before i moved to US, we had a small chinese take away, back in india (delhi). i love the food. count me in. nice event.
